Bad Gang

As if his brain had suddenly re-booted itself again, with one burst of energy, Segun rushed to the victim of the car accident, who laid helplessly bleeding on the floor, picked her up and put her at the back seat of his spacious G-Wagon. The victim’s sister then climbed the front passenger’s seat as Segun drove to the nearest hospital around, what kept on going on in his mind was “God please don’t let her die, please God”

The leaves on the trees around made swishing sounds from the breeze that blew coupled with the occasional singing from the birds, the sound emanating from the area was melodious, sonorous and beautiful.

The cool afternoon breeze swept across her legs swaying her mud stained skirt up revealing her luscious mosquito-battered hips to the whole world to see
.
With heavy panting she fell on one knee and looked around her, surveying the scenery before her. Despite the mighty balls of sweat trickling down her forehead down to her blood stained and sweat soaked blue sleeveless blouse coupled with the fact that her hair looked like she had just come out of a mental institution plus the fresh wounds on her face and legs she had sustained on the run, it was still glaringly obvious how beautiful she looked.

The tarred roads seemed closer as she could see the bushes gradually reducing ahead of her.

As she made to stand up, Angela wiped the mucus from her nose with her left hand simultaneously as she made use of her right hand to clean the tears that were dripping from her eyes.

The past 1 week had been the most horrendous, horrific set of days in her life and she couldn’t help but sob continuously even as she made her great escape.

As she was about to run towards the tarred road, she recognized those same voices again, those voices of men who had caused a lifelong deep scar in her heart as well as havoc in her life for the past few days.

She knew the kidnappers were after her to re-capture her as she could hear their voices only a few meters behind her. This time she raced again for her dear life, picking up an incredible momentum and acceleration that even Usain Bolt would have given a standing ovation for. She only had 1 notion in her heart as she ran,”It is better I die running, than be re-captured by this heartless devils”.

As she approached the expressway, she heard a gunshot behind her…….

Driving through the busy town of Lagos in the latest brand new G-Wagon model, Segun felt as though he had arrived. His luxurious lifestyle had hit an all-time high ever since the death of his father two months ago. His father Otunba Akinwunmi E Fatokun was a very prominent and wealthy man in the corridors of power of the state and had passed on leaving behind his wealth to his one and only notorious son who was an embodiment of a spoilt brat.

He was going 180km/hr with the speakers of his cars blaring to the music of Rick Ross when suddenly he hit a young girl along Ikorodu road who had just attempted crossing to the other side of the road. What followed after were echoes of screams from all angles, Segun was flabbergasted….

After a long night servicing the indefatigable intimate romp and appetite of her customer, Jennifer or J-baby as she was called by her colleagues was worn out flat.

She looked at the clock in the bedroom of the hotel where she lay and she was stupified to find out it was 9.45AM already. She had a test worth 30 marks that same day by 10.00AM in her school, UNILAG and from the area she was in Bariga, it was about 30 minutes by bus if she was to get to school.

She sighed, “na which kind stamina this yeye man get like this”. He had gone literally all night without stopping trying to get every single kobo for which he paid for the call girl.

She then stared at her luscious, voluptuous twin set of unclad bosoms in front of her and sighed again whispering to them as if they could hear, saying, “No vex, my darlings, thunder punish the mouth of this brother, shey he won suck una dry ni, reduce my future bride price, Na baba God go judge am”

For the first time since she woke up she took a good look at her latest customer, “the man kini no even big like that sef, but I swear down the man sabi die” she said to herself as she licked her lips.

Jolting back to her senses, she quickly jumped up from the bed, took a quick shower, came back and still saw the man sleeping like a cow and snoring like a pregnant pig in the N20,000 hotel room they booked, she used his phone to flash hers, stored his number as MAGA DELICOUS and headed out for school, praying to whatever god she served to help her make it in time.

Falling down flat on the bare ground, Angela thought she was the one who had been shot so her nervous impulses had already sent the wrong signals to her brain. But after about 2 minutes of feeling her body was alright, she instantaneously turned to look and found two men being bundled up in handcuffs by the Nigerian Police Force(NPF), alas she heaved a sigh of relief.

“Are you okay ma’am?” came a voice from a tall, dark, muscular, handsome police man. He looked more of a model or actor than to be related to the shabby outfit of the NPF.

Leaning down and caressing her wounds he spoke further,
“I’m Officer Bello and please I would love you to answer some questions so we could arrest the remaining gang and save your family”

Just as he completed those words from his mouth, sporadic shots were fired from the bush with a bullet hitting one of the 9 police men on the shoulder and he started bleeding profusely.

Panic evoked instantly as the policemen tried to counter whatever had befallen them

After enduring the hot slaps, ranting and abuses of passers-by, eye-witnesses as well as the sister of the victim herself, Segun was clueless and dumbfounded. Trust Lagosians now, everybody wanted to be a part of the action.

They arrived a private hospital within minutes and Simisola, the victim was rushed to the emergency unit.

About an hour later, after filling all the necessary forms and making  a cash deposit of N50, 000, the doctor approached Segun and Biodun, the victim sister from the operating room with arms behind his back and carrying a forlorn look.

Segun swallowed a huge streak of saliva as he feared the worst………

Angela awoke to find herself in a strange place, she scanned the room in which she lay and apart from the rusty old clock on the wall and the hard old mattress she found herself on, there was hardly any piece of tangible furniture in the small room again.

The headache she felt from within her brain was so painful that she winced in pain.

Just as she stood up from the rickety thing called a bed, the door opened as she saw someone familiar.
