I read somewhere, “Never undermine the power of passion. You have a very high chance of achieving anything you are passionate about.” I like to think I am passionate and I always make sure I put up and effort when I want something. When I really want something, something that will add meaning to my life, something that will make me happy and make life somewhat easier, I work hard and I strive and I do not give up, till I get it. People are different; people react to things with different emotions and attitude, people go for what they want differently. While some don’t lift a finger, some show zeal, some are slow and polite, some stop to think, others set off with passion, a passion to conquer. Like C. Joybell said, “politeness is okay, but it gets old and boring. You want to attack life with a passion, not a politeness, you want people to think about you and remember you and say “she is so passionate” you don’t want people to think about you and remember you and say “she is so polite,” because, who cares about polite?”
So when I see some people say, “I really want this”, and then you say it some more and then some more without lifting a finger I begin to wonder if you think singing about it without making any effort will make what you want “fall on”, just like manna from heaven. I believe if you are an extremely passionate person, there is this strong urge that makes you fight more to achieve whatever you want. Being passionate helps you achieve. You seem to pursue things with more zeal and enthusiasm than the normal person; you find out that you are always two steps ahead.
You want a new job, don’t just say it, get passionate, act like you really need one, don’t sit on your ass and whine to everyone that cares to listen. You want to start a business, get passionate, start a plan, a plan can take you places, just a plan and every other thing will fall int place. You want that girl/guy and you are still acting, and you are still slow, you haven’t made a move, hmm…dude, she might not be available for so long, get passionate or someone who is already will make her be the best thing you never had. You want success; you have it in you, you just have to click that passion switch “until you press the switch button of the light in your room on, you shall always have light in your room and still live in darkness.” Now, Winston Churchill said, “Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm”, and passion, if I may add.
Have you ever met someone that is passionate about something they had zero talent in? I had a friend back when I was in school, that really loved dancing and was passionate about it. Now she was all arms and limbs but she loved to dance. She started learning steps and moves and even though at first, she looked ridiculous, she didn’t stop. I remembered she would try and try whenever we were all together and even though we all laughed, she still never stopped, you could see her efforts, the passion never dwindled. After a while, we realized we didn’t see arms and limbs anymore, we saw someone who could move to any music and dance with grace. Her passion for dancing turned her once awkward body to perfection. That’s how I knew nothing drives more than passion.
They say you can tell a true character of a person by observing what they are passionate about and how they act when they are passionate about something. I am a Scorpio and if you describe a Scorpio woman in two words, then they would be intense and passionate. She is passionate about everything in life, right from her career to relationship, to hobbies to lovemaking; simply everything. So I guess we just can’t help it. I do believe everyone needs a little passion. So I tell you now, like Susy Kassim did, “Beware of those who are bored and not passionate about life, for they will bore you with reasons for not living.”
