Last week we asked if you will employ the services of a house help, and from the votes we concluded that we will.
What a national waste. A nigerian football legend walking mad around nigeria. The federal Govt couldn’t afford to take absolute care of such a man who contributed to her welfare but now that he is gone. Goodluck will send condolence prayer.
This was one of the reactions to the death of Rashidi Yekini, a seasoned footballer who played for the Nigerian national team, The Super Eagles. A lot of people were outraged by the way he died and (naturally) blamed the Government.
I did a little research and found out the late striker was given some
hand downs ‘donations’ just about a couple of years ago and I’m wondering where all that went. Rashidi Yekini is one of several national heroes who have recently died in poverty. Giringory, Bilyaminu and Billy the kid suffered the same fate.
I’m not a fan of the current Nigerian Government (MAULAG!!! DAMN) but are they or even any of their predecessors really to blame for the conditions in which these late heroes found themselves before their death??? Perhaps we should blame poor education or lack of exposure that consequently resulted in their inability to manage and invest their assets properly. But that’s just my opinion, what’s yours?
