“A couple of times, you’ve stumbled upon a stunning picture of Paris, Barcelona or one of those other places that’s on everyone’s bucket list, and then on Twitter, you see a place called ‘Mapo Hall, in Ibadan, Oyo state’ and you’re like “these places exist in Nigeria??!!. Guess what, you’re not the only one.

Loads of us city kids and business travellers have little or no interaction with places that have so much historical value or significance with our local culture and so we stand a risk of losing our culture in the next few years.
At Lagos LaidBac, we are dedicated to creating urban merchandise and the most epic experiences that promote the cultural values of Lagos.

We create cultural interaction points with our products (the tees, hats, stationaries, key rings, Fridge Magnets, miniature wall art, etc.), events and collaborative programs to keep our culture alive.

Join our 31-day challenge for the month of July in Lagos and help keep our culture alive.

The catch is to use the hashtag #LagosLaidBacPhotoChallenge and tag @LagosLaidBac on your posts on one of the social platforms and of course, you have to be in Lagos to participate (and must follow @LagosLaidBac). At the end of the month, people that went through with all/most of it get LLB items based on how well they did.
General Rules:
1. Use a picture (Best if the picture is taken by you)
2. Try to do all the tasks (that’s why it’s a challenge)
3. A snapchat Lagos geo filter should be used but if not, put on your location for that post so we know you’re really in Lagos.
4. Take pictures daily, don’t go through your camera roll and pick a suitable picture that was taken ages ago, it’ll ruin the fun.”

I’m pretty pumped about this challenge. I have a few questions though.
Are there any restrictions on the use of filters, or 3rd party apps like VSCO?

For those of us not participating in this competition, do we get to see the pictures that people take?

      Yes you can.
Either you search for the hashtag or check our Instagram page, we would repost the ones we like the most.
